Pride suffer loss in final non-conference game of 2024
DUBUQUE, Iowa - In the midst of a four-game homestand to finish the 2024 regular season, the Clarke University men's lacrosse team was unable to close their non-conference schedule with a victory as University of Northwestern - St. Paul earned an 18-4 win on Wednesday afternoon.
The Pride offense couldn't find a rhythm through a majority of the game, resulting in only one goal finding the back of the net in the first three quarters as the Eagles would increase their goal output in each of those first three quarters from three in the first, to four in the second, and then six in the third before closing on a five-goal fourth quarter.
Leading the charge offensively for UNW was Austin Lemke, who found the statsheet in half of their goals with a game-high seven goals while adding two assists for a nine-point night as Christian Mitchell added four goals and an assist while both Ryan Adkins and Khoa Vu both scored twice for the Eagles.
Clarke's four goals came from four different members of the attack as Justyse White, Aiden Gudenkauf, Henry La Belle, and Doug Powless all found the back of the net once for CU as Matt Archer and Ryder Chaba added assists on the day.
Pride men's lacrosse will close out the regular season on Saturday evening with a 6:30 p.m. CT schedule home against against Heart of America Athletic Conference foe St. Ambrose University at Burrows Field.
