Pride finish middle of the pack at Judson Invite

WEST DUNDEE, Ill. - Finishing up their second event of the spring season, the Clarke University men's golf team finished right in the middle of a 16-team field with an eighth place finish at the Judson Invite at Randall Oaks Golf Club.

Leading the way for the Pride with a top-10 finish was senior Jared Martinson as he carded a 76 (+5) to finish in a tie for eighth place in the field of 98 individuals.

The team score of 323 was rounded out by three scores all in the 80s with Carter Ruegsegger finishing with an 80 (+9), Logan Winn at 82 (+11), and Alex McLeland with an 85 (+14) for his first action of the spring.

Sophomore Jesse Frye was the fifth player for the team competition as he scored an 88 (+17) for his score to be left off of the team final and fellow sophomores Alijah Dopson and Francis Resurreccion competed as an individuals to score 82 (+11) and 85 (+14) respectively.

Clarke men's golf will next compete in the Dubuque area when they play in the Loras Spring Invite at The Meadows in Asbury, Iowa on Sunday, Apr. 16.
