Haley Froelich joins Pride staff as Head Coach for Women’s Golf and Assistant Coach for Women’s Basketball

DUBUQUE, Iowa – As the college athletic season transitions from 2022-23 to 2023-24, Clarke University Athletics announces the addition to Haley Froelich as the latest women's golf head coach and lead assistant for the women's basketball program.

Froelich joins the Pride from Dickinson State University where she served as an assistant coach for the Blue Hawks women's basketball team for four seasons after serving as a graduate assistant for Mount Marty College for two seasons prior.

With the addition of Froelich, Brandon Schwebke will transition from his role with women's golf to now take over the men's golf head coach position that was vacant upon Adam Hocking's promotion to head coach for women's basketball, where Froelich will serve as his top assistant as well.

Haley comes to Clarke at a good time as we transition to Adam Hocking's leadership of the women's basketball program," Athletic Director Curt Long said. "Haley has experienced individual success at the highest level of basketball in the NAIA. I am looking forward as well to supporting her growth and direction of the women's golf program."

"I've had the privilege of coaching against Haley while she was a student-athlete at Presentation College and have spent numerous summers working camps together with Midwest Elite Basketball. Her experience as both a player and as a coach will be a great asset to our team. Haley is invested in the student-athlete experience and will have a positive impact on the Clarke University campus. She is a terrific relationship builder and will be essential to our team in player development."

As a player, Froelich earned two NAIA All-America honors in her career at Presentation College including leading NAIA Division II in scoring during the 2015-16 season as she averaged 24.9 points per game while shooting 51.4 percent from the field for the Saints.

The season prior, Froelich became the first member of Presentation's women's basketball team to earn All-America honors as she received NAIA Division II honorable mention for the 2014-15 season where she averaged 21.4 points per game, which placed her seventh in the division.

Froelich has also been a camp director for the last four years Midwest Elite Basketball (MEB). MEB is a company that travels all over the Midwest putting on team camps for high schools. She has worked with hundreds of kids throughout the country during this time.

A Lemmon, SD native, Froelich earned her Bachelors in Science at Presentation College in 2017, as well as her Master's Degree in Coaching and Leadership from Mount Marty College in 2019.
