Herrmann, Tigges earn All-Conference softball honors

Two members of Coach Garland Shirley's Clarke University's softball squad have been named to the 2021 Heart of America Athletic Conference All-Conference Softball Team.  Lindsey Herrmann (SO/Downers Grove, Ill.) landed a spot on the league's second-team all-conference unit, while Sydney Tigges (JR/Dubuque, Iowa) was named an honorable mention all-conference player.  The all-conference team was selected by a vote of league coaches.

Hermann led the Pride in batting average (.391), runs (32), hits (52), doubles (13), slugging percentage (.500) and on-base percentage (.434).  She had four home runs and 18 RBIs.

Tigges hit .297 and paced Clarke in home runs (10) and RBIs (37).  She ranked second in hits (46), doubles (12) and slugging percentage (.568).

Tigges earned first-team all-conference honors in 2017 and was named the recipient of the Heart Softball Newcomer of the Year Award.  She garnered second-team all-conference honors in 2018.
