Pride wrap up 2021-22 season at Heart Championships

RAYMORE, Mo. - In their lone three-round event of the season, the Clarke University men's and women's golf teams closed out their season at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships this Monday and Tuesday.

The Pride men's team finished in 11th place as Lilia Lindgren and MacKenzie Saylor were the lone CU competitors on the women's side as they both finished tied for 44th place in the individual leaderboard.

The men's competitors consisted of the five-man team of Carter Ruegsegger, Kade Salemi, Alex McLeland, Ben Baker and Nick Stroschein as the lowest score put up over the three-rounds was Ruegsegger's 76 in the final round for the reigning Men's Golfer of the Week finished the highest on the leaderboard for CU in a tie for 39th.

Stroschein finished in 47th, Salemi finished in 50th, McLeland finished in 51st, and Baker rounded out the team in 52th place to close out the year.

Pride golf will roll into the offseason as they prepare for the 2022-23 season that will begin in September.
