Stefanini produces strong results but falls in USBC Intercollegiate Singles 2nd Round
GREEN BAY, Wis. - Extending the 2025-26 season about as long as it could go for Clarke University bowling, sophomore Camryn Stefanini of the Pride wrapped up his season with a second-round exit at the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Intercollegiate Singles Championship on Tuesday, Apr. 14.
Starting Tuesday's competition in the morning with qualifying rounds, Stefanini was able to score a six-game pin total of 1,165 by starting the qualifying with games of 172 and 168 before producing his best score of 256 in game three to then surpass 200 again with a 210 in game four then 192 and 167 to place in 13th out of the 24 initial qualifiers.
Heading into the bracket portion of the competition, the first round matchup for Stefanini came against Leland Jones from Huntington University as Stefanini was able to produce a final score of 631 to 553 from Jones to advance onto the second round to face a Heart foe in Jacob Holste from Mount Mercy University where Holste would produce 574 ahead of Stefanini's 483 to end the Corning, N.Y. native's tournament.
Stefanini's postseason journey caps off a very successful season for Pride bowling that resulted in both teams qualifying for USBC Sectionals with neither team having a rostered senior during the 2025-26 season, thus expecting to return every single member of both teams.
